[ This time, Cloud's response is less guarded as whatever breath he'd been taking in is choked in his throat, ever so softly. His throat feels tight when Sephiroth so sternly gives what may as well have been a terse report. ]

[ Ah, so Zack broke the news of his death. It's a grim reminder of what this world was capable of giving to the people that inhabited it. ...and what it could so eagerly and abruptly take away. Every time he walks the other way from his best friend, there's a discerning weight in his heart that tells him he needed to turn back around. That he needed to never let him leave his sight.

That it was the last time he may have seen him again. The very same thing happened with Aerith. One day, she was here. He waved goodbye...
